HISTORY
With over 30 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, Brian Walker formed Bear's Contracting Group in 2017. Brian’s experience in construction comes from a long line of family history within the business and the trades. As a third-generation construction business owner, Brian’s passion for the construction business was shaped by two inspirational figures in his life, his grandfather, Paul, and his father, Joe. For over fifty years, together, Paul and Joe owned and operated C Benson Signs. During those years, Brian had the opportunity to work in the family business and learn firsthand the importance of honesty, integrity, and values. Brian also gained valuable experience as a tradesman, which led him to understand the importance of all aspects of the construction industry.
Brian's experience and knowledge ranges from pre-construction and estimating to project management and superintendent. Because of this wide range of experience, he has an expansive knowledge of all aspects of the construction industry.
Brian soon developed a reputation for very high-quality work and trust within the industry. His project experience ranges from fuel stations, truck leasing facilities, and grocery stores, to multiple dining and QSR, retail establishments, and many other product and service-based construction projects.
In 2017, Brian started his own business naming the company Bear’s Contracting Group, LLC, which is the nickname his grandfather called him growing up and serves as a tribute to one of his first mentors who taught him the value of Quality Workmanship, Honesty, and Integrity, which are the core values of Bear’s Contracting Group today.
In Bear’s Contracting Group’s first year in business, the company completed 14 commercial construction projects. Bear’s Contracting Group continues to grow and now employs a full-time construction staff, back office, and sales division providing coverage throughout the State of Texas.
